Why WHEEL BALANCING?

Modern tyres and wheels are made to exact standards but after fitting to the wheel, the assembly may need to be dynamically balanced. By balancing the tyre and wheel assembly, small variances in weight distribution can be evened out making for a more comfortable and safer ride.

Wheels not properly balanced may cause:

  1. -Discomfort to the driver.
  2. -Loss of contact between the tyre and the road.
  3. -Excessive uneven wear of tyres.
  4. -Increased wear of steering and suspension components especially shock absorbers.
  5. -A reduction in the life of the whole vehicle.
  6. -An imbalance becomes more obvious as speed increases, typically felt as a vibration through the steering wheel or vehicle body.

WHEEL ALIGNMENT

Wheel alignment sometimes referred to as breaking, or tracking is part of standard automobile maintenance that consists of adjusting the angles of wheels to the car manufacturer specifications.

Benefits of wheel alignment:

  1. -Significantly extends the life of your tyres
  2. -Provides better handling.
  3. -Makes your vehicle safer to drive.
  4. -Makes your vehicle more fuel efficient.
  5. -It is recommended to align your wheels at least once per year..

It’s time for a wheel alignment:

  1. -When your steering wheel isn’t straight, your car pulls to either side or wanders on straight roads.
  2. -After an encounter with a particularly nasty pothole or curb.
  3. -When you are replacing your tyres or rotating them.
